LEVEL 8 Emus
This class is designed for school readiness. Sessions include the usual large equipment circuit where children strengthen muscles and improve coordination and balancing. They also do aerobic, dance, cross pattern activities as well as perceptual motor programs and specific word visualisation and auditory stimulation.
An example exercise for Balance: Balance on one leg, with leg extended behind and opposite arm extended forward.
The aim of the session is to ensure that children have or are developing all areas required for successful learning at school. It is a very important year for school readiness.
